RUN!

I want to run, but I am numb.
Survival told me to jump, but I was dumb.
I couldn’t leave them till they left me.
It felt better, you see. I took the pain so they get to heal.

Some didn’t make it, but it’s okay.
Their steps follow them and eventually, will swallow them,
When what they did catch up to them.
It’s not me who did, I watched life happen, with a sad smile because I know.
Humans rush life, but the truth is, it’s life, not them.

It’s not just Karma. I don’t believe in drama, but I believe in debt and the people we owe, will haunt our souls.
It may seem like chaos, but there’s a hidden order and reason.

The unspoken rules of the game of life unfold.
Truth cannot find a home in the mind of those on the run.
The more steps we take and moves we make, the closer we get to the end game.
Because we can’t cheat death, I mean; did Sisyphus?

Truth be told, I want to run.
Feel the wind tickle my skin,
Let the waves play with the sand,
Hear the sound of silence,
But how could I?

There’s no sense in a pattern that doesn’t connect, just conflict.
What about sensibility? Why drop one without the other? Ask me why I bother?

It’s the balance between the two,
The unspoken agreement of how to break what rules.

Sense can guide hand in hand, sensibility will follow,
In an element of context, one can dominate the other,
Sense doesn’t make sense when you’re protecting a daughter,
But it’s when sensibility will make all the sense.
Life is art. It’s painful, but beautiful.
Addictive, I swear, but a nightmare for those who care.

Truth be told, I want to run.
Feel the wind tickle my skin,
Close my eyes,
Smile to life and trust,
It’s going to be okay.

A scene from a comedy movie where the little boy wakes up his older brother in the middle of the night and tells him that he wants to run away. The older brother is half asleep and promises his younger brother to run away in the morning with everyone, but they should sleep first. So the younger brother agrees.
